Your First Login
What you see immediately after logging in depends entirely on your role — KubeOpera doesn't have one generic dashboard everyone customizes with widgets; it has two genuinely different experiences, and knowing which one you're in avoids a lot of confusion when a menu item you expected isn't there.
As a customer (tenant)
A brand-new customer account lands on an onboarding flow that provisions your first CloudSpace — an isolated environment with its own dedicated vCluster — before you ever see the main dashboard. Customer Onboarding walks through that whole first-run experience in detail, including what the provisioning step is actually doing behind the scenes and how long it takes.
Once provisioned, you land on /home, your personal workspace. The sidebar shows only what's relevant to you as a tenant: your CloudSpaces, your apps under Workloads, the Monitoring pages scoped to your own resource usage and cost, the AI Advisor for domain-aware recommendations about your own apps, and Settings/Support. There's no way to see another tenant's data from here — CloudSpace isolation is enforced at every layer, not just hidden in the UI.
As a platform administrator
A super_admin account lands on /dashboard instead — a cluster-wide operational view, not a tenant workspace. This is where you'd register clusters, review the full Applications list across every tenant, watch the agentic AI layer's activity (Agent Runs, Incidents, Pipelines), and reach the platform-admin-only Settings area (users, roles, permissions, and the AI provider key configuration covered on the Auth Service page). A super_admin account cannot access the customer workspace described above — the two experiences are mutually exclusive, not two views of the same thing.
Finding your way around either one
Both experiences share the same underlying navigation pattern — a persistent sidebar grouped by area, with a top bar for search, notifications, and your account menu — so once you're oriented in one, the other's layout won't feel unfamiliar even though the content is different. If a page ever looks empty when you expect data (an app list with nothing in it, a chart with no points), the most common cause by far is simply not having selected a CloudSpace or cluster yet in whichever selector sits at the top of that page — check there before assuming something's broken.
